Sunu Philip from Clothed in Scarlet is here sharing her story about how she’s turned blogging into a business. I have personally worked with Sunu and we chat over Skype on a regular basis. She has been a tremendous inspiration to me. She is doing a challenge right now “A Beginner’s Guide to Freebie Marketing“. I encourage you to catch up on it. You will learn so much!

Turning your talents into profits is not as hard as you might think! Here is Sunu's story about made her natural ability it into a home business.

I belong to the generation that saw the advent of home computers and the internet. A proficient high-school Physics teacher, I never would have thought I’d eventually give up my salaried job to make better money online.

When my son was born a few weeks premature, I realized that I needed to stay home with him. But I soon became restless and wanted to do something extra. I got my first computer when my son was a year old, and started researching ways to make an income online. My journey over the past 8 years has seen a variety of highs and lows, but I’ve learnt some valuable lessons through them all.
I’ve tried a variety of tactics to make money online that include filling up surveys, reselling websites, and joining affiliate programs. Through all this, I realized that not all online opportunities are genuine. It became my mission to find legitimate ways to make money online, and that’s when God led me to what would become my vision statement – “Helping women turn their God-given talents into profits online”.
I started my website, Clothed In Scarlet – not on my own volition but because God asked me to do it. {I share more about why I chose the phrase “Clothed In Scarlet” for my site here.} It is my desire to help women identify their unique strengths and find ways to implement them online, thereby blessing their families financially.
You see, God has made you for a purpose, and He has given you specific talents to help you achieve it. When you identify those gifts, you can very easily turn that into a service or product and offer it online; thereby creating an income right from the comfort of your own home. That’s what I provide through Clothed In Scarlet – tools and resources to help you turn your talents into profits online.
My site is just a year old, and already I have been able to use my own strengths and create products that people actually pay money for. For me, personally, I believe starting your own online business/blog and selling your own products/services will give you better traction in carving out an income for yourself.
My first full-length eBook, 31 Days to Start an Online Business was downloaded over 1200 times when it was free. And I still continued to get sales even after the price went up – both on my site and on Amazon. I then created a video eCourse, 4 Weeks to Start an Online Business and set a “Pay what you want” price tag with a minimum of $1. I was pleasantly surprised when people were willing to pay much more when they saw the content within the eCourse.
What I want to leave you with, is this: Yes, you can make a decent income online. It’s only a matter of finding what you are good at and establishing your business online. If you have no clue where begin, I suggest you start here.
